That’s what you get for sucking Cameron’s cock for five years.

Ringo fucking Star and Nick Clegg says it all. Only really pathetically insecure people would accept an honour a totally redundant system

The Twitterati might do better moaning about a ridiculous system of patronage that should have no place in a modern government. Instead they accept that and moan about Trump!

Seems a bit odd for a Deputy PM to get knighted ahead of the last three PM’s

And given stray Beatles are getting them presumably the rest of the Rolling Stones are now DUE

Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
No Sven. What should seem odd is that a two-faced, publicly denounced liar should be getting an honour when his political career was finished by telling opportunistic porkies to the public.

That is what is odd and smacks of the "old boy network" that should have no place in modern Britain.

based onfucking what? He’s done fuck all, lied to the public and sold out his principals to Dave simply for a share of power.

Very few ‘honours’ are in any way recognition of anything good. They’re ben handed out for political favours for more than a hundred years and almost certainly even longer.
It’s why they give them to ‘worthies’ every once in a while, just to balance off a little of the shit they reward.

Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
He was a useful dupe to prop up the Tory government.
And obviously a recommendation for a Knighthood when a short period had passed was part of the deal.

Presume Camerons is being held back to wait til the Brexit DEBACLE ire fades a bit.

Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
Sucked Cameron's cock for a whiff of power and helped them in their austerity measures.

Lied to the British people and then his views were rejected in the EU Referendum then he was personally rejected by his constituents at the General Election 2017. Now wants to over-turn the referendum decision made by the people.

Just goes to show how out of touch with the common people the establishment really is. All it does is widen the gap of respect.

The honours system couldn't sink any lower.

he stopped the cunning Tories killing more people for 5 years. That was a result.

Totally disgraceful. This fucking TRAITOR should be dragged away, hung, drawn and quartered, then buried anonymously in a field somewhere off the M25.

The establishment's credibility is lower than a dascshund's balls right now.

It's all an old boy/establishment network, they hand some minor gong to a lollipop lady to pretend it fair and keep us mugs happy, then carry on giving each other pretty baubles for doing f all.

yeah, but it's still the establishment, and at times like these, the establishment does what the establishment does best - gives the proletariat the finger.

Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
The honours list lost all credibility years ago when they started doling out knighthoods to the likes of Mick Jagger and Elton John. Sir fucking pop singer....

Sven Roeder 2:20 Tue Dec 26
Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
Elton John has raised countless millions for AIDS research as well

There’d be anarchy on the streets if Blair got one.

Re: Arise, Sir Nick Clegg
So why hasn't Blair been knighted?

Is it because he was convicted of 'cottaging' in his younger days and he avoided publicity by using his middle names only in court?

Could it be the Queen was annoyed with his behaviour in the days following Diana's death showing the monarch up in a bad light?

It might be the enriching of the Blair family after leaving office that has upset Lizzy Windsor, but her own family does that all the time.

Or does she believe as I do that Blair lied to the British people over Iraq and colluded with an American President behind her back taking this country to war killing an unknown number of innocent civilians in the process?
